Sophie Bag. The official knit-a-long has ended, but you can still knit one with the free felted bag pattern at MagKnits. (begun July 9, 2004). Using Cascade 220 in Ruby.
French Market Bag. Free felted bag pattern from knitty.
(begun July 9, 2004). Using Manos del Uruguay in Raspberry (MC, 2
hanks) and Lilac (CC, 1 hank) to make horizontal stripes.
Completed.
Acrylic Lilac scarf for Mom. Garter stitch through the back loop on size 10 single point needles. It's bound off...now just waiting for some fringe in perhaps a contrast shade of green. This is my first project. (begun March 2004)
Stockinette Stitch catnip-filled, fish-shaped cat toys. More acrylic yarn fun knit on size 8 circulars (ooooh! aaaah! I adore my addi turbos!), but after already making 3 for the resident kitty princess, AKA Muffin, I'm tuckered out. This next set will include jingle bells and will go to big kitty numero uno, Pocky (POH-key), my beloved almost-10 y.o. gray and white tuxedo cat I adopted in Somerville, MA in August 1994.
Gram Yam's Cardigan. Dale of Norway wool in a deep red color which superstitious gram will like. The bottom of the back is done in garter stitch (size 8 circulars) and now I'm about 9 inches up with stockinette stitch (size 9 circulars). I really like the simplicity of the stockinette stitch.
Gram Yam's Cardigan 2. This is a Mandarin styled jacket using Lion Brand Yarn---microspun in Cherry red.
Fiona Knit A Long.

I started a swatch, but have since ripped it out. Am waiting for
my size 7, 16" circulars to arrive so I can get moving and join the
rest of the Fiona gang on this project. Aubergine (Mission Falls
1824 cotton) is my MC and Cosmos is my CC. My sis chose Sea as
her MC and Maize as her CC. These last two colors should arrive
with my 16" needles. Any day now.... (as of July 4, 2004--Fiona's
still waiting for her buttonhole.)

Kate Knit A Long. I think I'm way at the tail end of this knitalong since I just picked up some yarn this weekend, but it looks like a pretty and fun project to begin someday.
Summer fun scarf.
Silky Way scarf in the lovely blue/green hues. This Leaping Lizard yarn is hand-dyed by the wonderful ladies of Knit Happens. I'm still "unwinding" this and trying to roll it up. However, I'm almost done with the one from the redder hues that I bought to satisfy my MUST KNIT NOW whinings....just needs some beads or fringing....Incidentally, I got tired of trying to undo this Gordian knot so I bought another hank of this and have already knitted it up and bound it off. But it's not done yet. I want to add some beaded fringing.
